I bought this after a suggestion from a friend of mine. I've tried others before and this is way superior than those. Other waist bands I've tried literally had no use...it was like wrapping a scarf around your waste and not tying it up. Because this item includes zippers, it makes for a firm fit. The zippers are placed so that if you have to adjust the waste band, you can make it tighter or more lose. The only negative I have is that I wish it was slighly longer. The reason being is that it tends to ride up from the bottom after prolonged use.
