I was afraid it would not work with my stationary bike, as the console is small and round (a Marcy bike), but I took the digital readout piece off and attached the SurfShelf to the square metal piece that the digital part sits on. I just look at my laptop clock to see how long I bike. So far, so good. I watched a Netflix movie while I biked today, and it was so much better than listening to music and staring at the time on the digital display.
