I've read a lot of the reviews here before purchasing my unit. Some of the most often heard complaints were that its heart meter does not work too well and that the installation was difficult. We decided that the heart meter was not a priority and that since I was an engineer we would not face the same sort of installation pitfalls that confronted soooooo many other consumers. Don't get me wrong, I'm very good at putting things together. I'm not being arrogant, it's something I really enjoy doing. Unfortunately, the difficulties are due to poor construction! You'd have an easier time if you can bend solid metal. The pieces were soldered together at an incorrect angle and the screws just did not fit. We ended up leaving one of the screws off cuz the angle was too far off (about half an inch!). I was insanely frustrated and would not wish this experience upon anyone.
