Very Very skeptical at first about this, we have our backyard neighbors dog that never shuts up and I hate that dog. It barks at everything, shadows, birds, UPS truck, it hates the fed ex truck... Originally, since everything else failed from getting it to stop barking (my wife wouldn't let me buy a pellet gun to zing it in the rump). I did an impulse buy on the dazer II. The range on this thing is the issue. When the dog is inside of 20yds, it runs and cowers under the porch and doesn't bark, however, per the documentation, it is not supposed to work that far. The dog now knows that when our back porch door is opened, and it's time to shut up or go hide. I just wish they made a more powerful dazer III for the dog owners.
Overall, my use of this thing is opening the back door, pointing it at the dog (unobstructed line of site) and dazing the dog. It works better inside of the 15yd limit on cold days. I'm now carrying it with me when i walk my dog and the other neighbors dogs bark at us...all of a sudden, walks aren't that bad...It is directional, and will not bother your dog who's watching the annoying dog get dazed.Get more detail about Dog Dazer II.
